At Almak Capital, we are pleased to announce a $250,000 investment in CheckDoc, an innovative at-home medical diagnostics service from Kazakhstan and a resident of the international tech hub Astana Hub. The funding will support the enhancement of CheckDoc’s technological infrastructure and accelerate its growth in the market. Founded in December 2021 by Toty Smatova, CheckDoc offers fast and convenient at-home diagnostics, ensuring clients receive high-quality medical services. With order fulfillment in just 40–60 minutes, the service stands out as a modern, technology-driven alternative to traditional laboratories.
Why We Invested
We believe strongly in the rapid growth of the global Digital Health market, which nearly doubled from $216 billion in 2020 to $417 billion in 2023. The potential of digital healthcare is immense, and projects like CheckDoc are positioned to transform access to medical diagnostics. CheckDoc has built a stable financial model, strong operational efficiency, and a clear roadmap for development. Our pre-seed investment will strengthen the company’s tech foundation, support AI integration, and prepare the startup for expansion into new markets.
